COAST

COAST REGION



The Coastal Region, is one of the four natural regions of Ecuador. It is composed of the provinces of Guayas, Santa Elena, Manabi, El Oro, Los Ríos, Esmeraldas and Santo Domingo.

The coast is formed by three main ecosystems: the tropical rainforests of the north, the tropical savannas of central and south-west, and the dry forest of western and southern peninsular stretch.

The region is characterized by warm, dry weather in the south and north tropical humid.

The coast region has numerous  areas for fishing.

The tourists can practice different sports as:
Surfing, jet skiing, widsurfing, scuba diving, paragliding, fishing, birdwatching.


TOURISM

His six provinces have attractive beaches and resorts for tourists.




COAST PRODUCTS

Bananas, rice, soybean, cotton, tobacco, cooffe, cacao, tropical fruits, fish and sell fish.

GASTRONOMY

The gastronomy is varied, is based mainly on fish.
The most important dishes are: fish fried, cassava muchines, fried plantain, seafood soup, rice guayaco, ceviche, corviche, flag, encocado, catfish sancocho.
